Each panel is made with select grade thatch that is handpicked by seasoned and experienced palm panel weavers. Our panels exhibit one of the highest palm content counts in the industry, resulting in a highly durable thatch panel that can withstand winds and extreme outdoor weather elements. Harvested and carefully sun dried until ready for weaving, our palm retains natural oils and fiber integrity for years of enjoyment.

Each panel is meticulously hand woven to perfection. Multiple twine and palm rope reinforcements run through the body of the panel to provide strength and rigidity. Each panel is designed to channel water downwards and outwards away from the heart of the panel. Each panel is flexible and accommodates sloping roofs or other surfaces. Our special weaving method allows each panel to be cut in any direction without the worry of edges unraveling.

This product has not been treated with fire retardant. Please check with local city and state codes regarding treatment for commercial use. This product is not water proof. Similar to most thatch panels sold on the market today, prolonged exposure to rain will result in leakage. Garden Winds recommends using plywood and water resistant film to line the underside of a roof for water protection.
