Garden Winds Product Advice: This is an after-market replacement canopy for a specific patio swing that was sold at the Home Depot in 2006 and 2007, named the Hampton Bay Sydney Swing. The Home Depot model number of the swing that this canopy is designed to replace is 624946. Garden Winds recommends that you purchase this swing canopy cover only if you have this particular swing (see pictures below). This replacement swing canopy will not fit any other swing.

Installation
Replacement Canopy Installation Instructions
Safety First: WARNING!!! This process requires a person to use a ladder to reach the top of the swing. It is important that the ladder that you use be stable and safe. It is important that a second person be present in the event you need help. Safety should be your number one priority to prevent falling during installation. If you do not feel comfortable removing or installing the canopy, please seek a professional for help.
Remove Your Old Canopy First
1. Ladder - You will need a stable ladder that will allow you to safely reach the top of the swing.
2. Loosen the Canopy – Unfasten all Velcro straps. Velcro straps are usually located on the seams of the canopy. Take a moment to remove the finial ornaments from each corner of the canopy. You can do this by unscrewing them. Once the finials have been removed, you can begin removing the canopy. Start with any corner. Pull the canopy fabric away from the corner, and towards the center of the swing roof. Repeat this for all four corners of the bottom tier canopy. Once this is done, you can completely remove the canopy from the swing.
Install Your New Canopy
1. Ladder - You will need a stable ladder that will allow you to safely reach the top of the swing.
2. Install the Canopy – Loosely drape the canopy over the roof frame. Begin by pulling the corners of the canopy towards the corners of the swing frame. The Sydney Swing canopy is rectangular in shape. Make sure that the correct sides of the canopy line up with the edge of the swing. Fasten the bottom tier tightly to the frame by placing the corners of the canopy over the corners of the swing frame. You will need to make sure the bolt that supports the finial also fits through the pre-installed grommet rings on the canopy. Do this for all four corner pockets. You will need to pull harder on the last corner pocket, as there is less slack available. Screw the corner finials into place. Then fasten available Velcro straps to the roof bars.
3. You’re finished! Enjoy your new canopy!!!
